The holder of the qualification "Supporting individuals experiencing psychological crises in the recovery process by individuals with experience of psychosis (recovery assistant)" is prepared to support people with experience of psychological crisis. In his/her work he/she uses his/her knowledge and his/her own experience in the field of mental health and the healing process. He/she shares with the person he/she supports the insights gained from his/her personal experience of psychological crisis. Communicates with the person in crisis, their family members and others in the social support network and therapeutic support staff, using active listening techniques. Motivates a person experiencing a psychological crisis to heal, including encouraging him/her to find their own ways to return to health and well-being. Provides mental health support both by providing information on available forms of crisis support and by accompanying the person experiencing the crisis in a variety of real-life circumstances.
