The graduates possess advanced and systematized knowledge of mechanics, machinery construction and operation, electronics, computer science, machine control as well as automation and robotics. They use the ability to integrate this knowledge in the design, manufacturing and operation of products as well as in analyzing them in their operational environment. They have a thorough knowledge of the construction and operating principles of numerically controlled machine tools, their programming methods and controlling systems. They are able to apply this knowledge in practice. They have the competence necessary to install, operate and maintain computer tools for simulation and design of mechatronic components and systems. They participate in interdisciplinary teams solving problems related to the design, manufacture, sale, operation, servicing and diagnosis of mechatronic systems as well as the machines and equipment in which these systems function. They have the ability to use specialized language in the field of education.

The graduates are prepared to work in the following industries: mechatronic systems manufacturing, electrical machinery, automotive, household appliances, aerospace, machine tools and other enterprises that operate and service mechatronic systems, machines and devices in which they are used.
