Applying to become an awarding body
By means of an official notice, the minister announces that a given qualification has been included in the IQS. The minister then publishes an announcement on the IQS portal inviting applications for authorisation to award that qualification. The minister may authorise different institutions to award the same qualification.

An application for authorisation to award a given qualification is subject to a fee.
