Validation

In the terminology used in the IQS, “validation” means checking whether a person seeking the award of a qualification has achieved the required competences. Validation may cover all the requirements set out in the qualification description or only a distinct part of them.

Validation should not be confused with the recognition of qualifications. If a qualification awarded abroad is recognised in Poland by an authorised institution, that qualification is valid. A person who has obtained such a qualification does not need to undergo validation again.
