PQF level

A PQF (Polish Qualifications Framework) level provides general information about the scope and complexity of the knowledge, skills and social competences required of people seeking qualifications at that level.

The PQF level assigned to a particular qualification is determined by comparing the requirements set out in the qualification description with the level descriptors in the qualifications framework.

The Polish framework has 8 levels, which correspond directly to the 8 levels of the European Qualifications Framework. Qualifications requiring the least advanced competences are assigned PQF level 1. Each subsequent level involves progressively higher requirements.

All qualifications included in the IQS are assigned an appropriate PQF level. Information on the PQF level appears on documents confirming the award of a qualification, such as school certificates, diplomas and certificates. A PQF level cannot be assigned to a qualification that is not included in the IQS.
