Remote monitoring of the console and conducting intervention activities in the mainframe system

The holder of the qualification "Remote monitoring of the console and conducting intervention activities in the mainframe system" independently monitors the mainframe console and responds adequately to system alerts. In carrying out his/her professional tasks, he/she uses specialised knowledge of mainframe computers, including the use of technical documentation designed for mainframe systems. Uses JCL (Job Control Language) and manages jobs (JOB). Applies knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) set of concepts. The holder of this qualification is ready to take responsibility for the activities performed, prioritises the tasks performed during his/her shift and resolves potential problems. Manages risk while performing professional tasks under variable and not fully predictable conditions.
