The holder of the qualification 'Fire protection systems design — fixed water extinguishing devices (FWED)' is prepared to independently design FWED installations used in public utility facilities, production and storage facilities, and other establishments where FWED may be installed. He/she inventories and assesses the space for which the FWED installation is to be designed. He/she performs necessary calculations to optimally select components for the designed installation in accordance with relevant operation permits.

Installation and maintenance of fire protection assets - fixed water extinguishing devices (FWED)

The holder of the qualification “Installation and maintenance of fire protection assets - fixed water extinguishing devices (FWED)” is prepared to install and maintain FWED installations used in public utility facilities, production and storage facilities and other establishments where FWED can be used — on the basis of received documentation and under the supervision of the technical manager, in accordance with relevant operation permits for installation of FWED components in fire protection systems. Retrieves from the technical design and technical-operational documentation the information required for the correct installation of the FWED system and its maintenance.
