Two new market qualifications have been added to the IQS by the Minister of Economic Development and Technology. The first is related to the trade and marketing industries, and the second is related to health and beauty. Soon it will be possible to apply for a certificate confirming skills, knowledge and experience related to the newly included qualifications.

The holder of the market qualification "Analysing the associative structure of a commercial brand, taking into account market trends" independently prepares and conducts or supervises the conduct of an analysis of the position of a given brand against selected competing brands based on their associative structures. Uses the "free association" technique and the associative similarity index methodology to obtain data, and then calculates the similarities in meaning between the brands being compared and the so-called ideal brand in a given product category. Leverages knowledge of brand value building principles to identify which brand associations should be strengthened, built, weakened, or neutralized. Based on the results of the survey and on the analysis of market trends in the area of consumer behaviour, develops simulations of possible changes in the position of the brand in the market and recommendations for the positioning strategy of the selected commercial brand.

The holder of the market qualification "Performing nail extensions and styling treatments with elements of hand and foot care services" independently performs nail extensions and styling treatments, as well as supplementary, necessary nail care. Performs the above tasks, selecting the right tools and specialised equipment, as well as appropriate cosmetics. Makes independent decisions taking into account the needs and expectations of customers. Conducts a professional interview with the client and adjusts his/her actions according to the information obtained. In addition, the holder of the market qualification organizes the workstation in accordance with the requirements of ergonomics, occupational health and safety, fire protection and environmental protection regulations, and uses all protective measures necessary to make the treatments fully safe. Takes into account the indications and contraindications for each treatment. This holder is ready to take responsibility for the consequences of hand and foot care and beauty treatments with clients, as well as for equipment and tools.
