Starting January 1, 2024, sectoral qualifications may appear in the national qualifications register alongside other qualifications.
The Integrated Qualifications System (IQS) Act has been amended to allow industry and sector representatives to more easily develop qualifications important to them.
Who can submit an application to include a sectoral qualification in the IQS?
Organizations such as a sectoral council on competencies or a nationwide organisation operating under a relevant statute and carrying out activities in a specific industry or sector can initiate the inclusion of qualifications in the system.
Who decides on the inclusion of a sectoral qualification in the IQS?
The decision to include a given qualification in the IQS is made by the relevant minister.

Information on sectoral qualifications that can be applied for can be found in the qualifications register. The selection is continually expanding. The first sectoral qualifications are related to sports and tourism:

Polish Kiteboarding Association:
- Conducting kiteboarding classes (PQF level 3)
- Managing the kiteboarding training process (PQF level 4)
- Designing educational processes in kiteboarding (PQF level 6)
Association of Snowboard Instructors and Coaches:
- Conducting snowboard lessons for learning and improving snowboarding skills (PQF level 3)
- Conducting educational processes in snowboarding (PQF level 4)
- Managing snowboard training (PQF level 5)
- Planning and conducting educational processes in snowboarding (PQF level 6)
- Programming the training process in snowboarding (PQF level 6)
