On 27 May, a conference titled “Trends, Innovations and Challenges in the Space Sector” will take place in Toruń.

This time, we will focus on:
- qualifications and competences in the space sector;
- the issue of developing human resources to meet the needs of the space sector;
- research in the context of labour market demand for specific occupations;
- new technologies;
- ways to make education a passion – we will explore various methods of inspiring love for science and STEM subjects through space-related topics;
- the implementation of European Space Agency standards for the needs of the space sector – we will learn from experiences of cooperation with educational institutions;
- the role of the space industry in the process of entrepreneurial discovery of smart specialisations in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
We will also address issues related to the Integrated Qualifications System (IQS). Our speakers will discuss:
- the support offered by the Educational Research Institute (IBE NRI) to employers and entrepreneurs;
- successes in education and the role of the Integrated Qualifications System in lifelong learning;
- the Sectoral Qualifications Framework as a tool within the Integrated Qualifications System;
- how to study competences specific to the industry, i.e. research in the context of the Integrated Qualifications System.
The programme will also include a panel discussion, during which we will jointly seek optimal solutions for cooperation between education and business.
