A new qualification related to supporting children’s development has been added to the Integrated Qualifications System.

The holder of the free-market qualification "Facilitating a Playgroup" is prepared to lead a playgroup, i.e. regular meetings for children from birth up to the age of three and their caregivers. They plan a series of playgroup meetings and prepare detailed session outlines. When organising activities with children, they use their knowledge of developmental psychology and early childhood education, taking into account the individual needs and abilities of each child. They engage caregivers in co-creating the meetings. They assess each session and plan the further development of the playgroup, considering the local social context (the needs and resources of the local community).
