Invitation for Sector Skills Centres and sector organisations to collaborate

The Educational Research Institute – National Research Institute (IBE PIB) invites Sector Skills Centres (BCUs) and their partner sector organisations to collaborate with us. We will help you develop an offer related to acquiring and certifying vocational skills.

What support is available?

Our experts will help you:

  1. complete the technical sections of an application for authorisation as an awarding body for a sectoral qualification,
  2. design the validation process for a sectoral qualification, including drafting a validation scenario,
  3. prepare a validation matrix,
  4. develop selected validation tools, such as test papers, test marking sheets, or observation sheets,
  5. draft descriptions of solutions relating to the internal quality assurance (IQA) areas specified in the Integrated Qualifications System (IQS) Act,
  6. draft a micro-credential description compliant with the 2022 Council of the European Union recommendations,
  7. prepare a sectoral qualification description in accordance with the methodology applied in the IQS,
  8. align the description of training delivered at a BCU (specifically regarding curriculum content) with the methodology applied in the IQS.

What do we provide as part of this cooperation?

We guarantee:

  • tailored support from IQS subject-matter experts to develop at least one deliverable from the list above and specified in the application form;
  • collaboration with experts appointed by your institution through working and consultative meetings, held either online or in person (organising in-person meetings remains the responsibility of the partner organisation);
  • access to expert knowledge, supplementary materials, forms, and methodological guidance.

What do you need to do to benefit from the support?

To collaborate with us, you must:

To produce this deliverable, you must assemble a team to collaborate with IBE PIB. Members of this team should possess appropriate knowledge and experience, in particular:

  • professional experience in the field covered by the sectoral qualification in question, or the knowledge and skills required to perform relevant professional tasks;
  • knowledge of the organisational and material capacity required to plan validation or deliver training at a BCU;
  • experience in assessing or examining learning outcomes in the area covered by the sectoral qualification, or in designing competence assessment tools, including writing questions, tasks, marking schemes, and the related assessment methods;
  • experience in developing training programmes.

If you decide to collaborate with us, you will cover the costs of:

  • remuneration for personnel from your institution involved in preparing the deliverable,
  • organising in-person meetings, including venue hire, catering, travel, and accommodation.
